Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Burgess is well known internationally for the development of organic methodologies associated with fluorescent dyes for monitoring interactions in cells, photodynamic therapy effects and targeting of cancer cells. He has made major contributions to the understanding of the interplay of structure, conformation and biological activities of peptidomimetics as they relate to disruption of protein-protein interactions. During his stay in Germany, he continues his research on how small molecules interact with protein surfaces, particularly in the context of addressing aspects of human disease. |
